Well-child / adolescent exams
Well-child exams are extended visits, scheduled at regular intervals, to enable our providers to monitor your child's growth and development; to identify any physical or behavioral problems that may arise. During these visits, we ask age-appropriate questions about your child that will help us identify problems; for example, eating habits, sleeping, and activity. We also perform a complete physical examination, age-appropriate vision and hearing screening, and certain laboratory procedures. Safety concerns specific to the child's age are discussed with the parent and child.
For a well-child exam visit, you should plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete needed forms to assist us with your child's development.
Coverage for well exams varies among health insurance plans. You may be responsible for charges if your health insurance does not cover well exams.
Well visit appointments should be scheduled one to two months in advance. We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours ahead if you need to reschedule.
